l RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea picked up a much-needed win in their last match, seeing off the challenge of Thurrock seven days ago.

Tomorrow they visit Ware who, after an excellent October with six wins from eight, have struggled recently with three defeats in a row in league and cup.

They are now four points off Bowers in the standings, following losses to sides around them in the division.

Bowers will be buoyed by their strength in depth and head to Hertfordshire confident of a positive result, after seeing off play-off contenders Fleet.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers manager Rob Small said: “We needed Friday night's result and we were worthy winners. The mentality of the players was tested last month and they have shown their mettle.

"They continued to believe. We have had two good performances in a row (a draw against Norwich and a win against Thurrock) and we now need to continue that.

"I feel we are on the verge of a good run and we are having longer between games which is helping.

"Ware were unbeaten at home until Tuesday night and are a physical side. It will be tough and it will be a test of character."
