JORDAN Chiedozie’s terrific hat-trick rounded off a superb second-half between Concord Rangers and Gosport Borough, with the Beach Boys taking the honours in a seven-goal cracker.

Three from Chiedozie and a brace from Steve Cawley put Gosport to the sword, with all seven goals coming after the interval.

The first-half was a tight affair, with the match only passing a late pitch inspection due to poor weather on the south coast.

Goalkeeper Ollie Bowles was making his long-awaited debut for the away side, after Jon Miles was recalled by parent club Ebbsfleet United, but the understudy impressed throughout.

The match burst into life seconds into the second-half when the striking triumvirate combined to excellent effect.

Substitute Tony Stokes found the run of Chiedozie and the forward did well to send a deep cross to the far post which Cawley headed well beyond the goalkeeper.

Two minutes later it was 2-0. Stokes combined again with Chiedozie and the forward did excellently to shape his effort inside the far corner.

But Gosport hit back immediately. Aaron Dawson made no mistake to halve the deficit but Concord were not to be denied on this occasion.

Cawley stroked home from the penalty spot after a foul on the insatiable Chiedozie on the hour mark.

The goal of the match came three minutes from time and secured the points. Chiedozie picked up the ball outside the penalty area and arrowed a blistering shot into the top corner of the goal.

Ben Wright made it 4-2 but the Beach Boys still had the last laugh as did Chiedozie. The striker completed his treble to make it a very good day for Adam Flanagan’s team.
