A LEWIS Manor brace was enough for Bowers & Pitsea against Romford as Rob Small’s men made it three straight wins in the Ryman North.
It wasn’t looking so good at half-time with Bowers trailing, but Manor made it three goals in two games with a well taken brace to end Romford’s impressive unbeaten run on home turf – which had stretched back to August.
Romford went ahead after seven minutes, when Tarren Dhariwel finished with aplomb past the dive of Rhys Madden in the away goal.
Brad Warner, David Knight and Manor all missed decent chances to draw parity before the interval, although two of the attackers combined early in the second-half to level the match.
Warner’s cross found Manor and he nodded home at the far post.
And it was Knight that turned provider midway through the half, as Manor picked up his pass and hammered high into the net.
Manor missed several chances to complete his treble, while Romford battled bravely until the last but Bowers took the points to end the evening three points off the play-off positions.
