Great Wakering Rovers 0–5 Ware

GREAT Wakering Rovers face an uphill battle to remain in the Ryman North after they were steam-rollered 5-0 by Ware on their own turf.

Wakering were three goals down inside 10 minutes and were no match for Ware in the end.

Wakering boss Keith Wilson had made no bones about the significance of the match, with tougher tests to come in the weeks ahead and Rovers seven points from safety.

But the match was seemingly out of grasp inside the first five minutes as Wakering got off to a truly dreadful start.

Only two minutes were on the clock when Dean Mason opened the scoring.

And one became two 100 seconds later, with Gareth Price netting his first of the afternoon.

And when Josh Oyibo made it three before the game was 10 minutes old the home fans may have been fearful of a rout.

Price scored another five minutes before the break but, despite improving after that there was no way back into the clash.

Wilson gave his half time team talk on the Burroughs Park pitch as he had stern words with his players, but they were unable to get back into it.

Oyibo got another on the hour mark as it ended 5-0.
