SOUTHEND Manor boss Stuart Marshall believes the next two games will determine whether his team secure a top four finish this season.

Manor visit sixth-placed Takeley tomorrow and travel to Ilford next weekend.

And Marshall believes victory in those matches will put his side in a strong position ahead of the final six matches of term.

“The next two games defy where we end up,” he said. “If we can get maximum points at Takeley and Ilford then I am confident of a top four finish.

“Winning the league has gone but top four would be a great achievement. I am a realist and suspensions have killed us. It is self-inflicted.

“If we can end this season well we can give it a go next year. We need to be patient. The club are doing what we need to do but this time a year ago we were second from bottom. It is a great turnaround.”

Callum Ibe misses out tomorrow.

Hullbridge Sports visit a London Bari side that have lost their last seven matches, looking to overcome their recent inconsistencies.

Sports, ninth in the table, have won two (3-0 and 7-1), lost two (5-1 and 4-3) and drawn one of their last five but will be favourites ahead of this match.

And manager Rob Hodgson has asked for a bit of consistency.

“We have no injuries or players out so I just hope we decide to turn up. I don’t know what team will turn up on match days at the moment!”

Basildon United are without a game this weekend.
