l RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea’s play-off tilt goes on in Kent tomorrow as they make the trip to Phoenix Sports.

Bowers were left frustrated when Tuesday’s match against VCD Athletic was postponed and know they must keep winning if they are to hold off the challenge of the chasing pack.

However, Phoenix are just seven points behind Bowers and know victory will fire them back into contention.

Five wins in the last eight league matches, including three points at Cheshunt prove this will far from easy for Rob Small’s side.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers manager Rob Small said: “We have just scored 16 goals in the last four games without conceding so why would we not want to play on Tuesday? I am insulted.

“We had to make a relatively early decision as we didn’t want to be stung for more money after it happened against Norwich.

“But it may work in our favour tomorrow as we want to play games of football.

“Phoenix are a very good side in great form and have beaten better teams than us recently.

"If we can come away from there with a result it will be a monumental effort."

l TEAM NEWS: Luke Wilson is suspended.
