RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea will be looking to get their play-off bid back on track when they travel to relegation-threatened Soham Town Rangers.

Rob Small’s side started the month with a comfortable 5-0 win over Ware, but a late defeat to Phoenix Sports and 1-1 draw against 10-man Waltham Abbey have since followed.

Despite only taking one point out of a possible six, Bowers are only three points off fifth placed Haringey Borough.

With Haringey Borough facing table-toppers Brightlingsea Regent and sixth-placed Cheshunt taking on Thurrock, there is a real chance of Bowers closing the gap on the play-off places with a win over third from bottom Soham Town Rangers.

MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers boss Rob Small said: “We are not playing Soham at the ideal time.

“They picked up a win against Thurrock last weekend so their confidence will be on the up whereas we go into the game after a poor result last week.

“It would be lovely to get back to winning ways but that is easier said than done.

“We don’t have the luxury of affecting other games but I will definitely be looking at results elsewhere on Saturday night.”

TEAM NEWS: Rob Small has a full squad to select from. Luke Wilson returns from a three-game ban.
