CONCORD Rangers have retained the services of a host of key performers ahead of the 2017/18 season.

On the day the Beach Boys announced the signings of Lewis Taaffe and Khale Da Costa, they have also confirmed which players have agreed to sign on for the new campaign.

They include last season’s top scorer Steve Cawley, Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year Rob Girdlestone and old favourites Tony Stokes and Steve King.

Midfielder Amos Nasha and defender Taylor McKenzie will also return for the start of pre-season training as will Tom Stephen, who is making excellent progress from a serious injury sustained last August.

Fellow long-term injury absentees Tom Ranger and Emmanuel Ighorae will continue their rehabilitation, and there is good news for some of the club’s talented youngsters.

Adam Topley, who enjoyed a breakthrough season last year will be part of the first-team squad, as will successful youth products Sam Carter and Finley Dopson.

Prospects Charlie Seaden and Bayley Newell will sign first-team registration papers and be loaned out to senior sides next season to gain first-team experience.

Meanwhile, Jordan Chiedozie and last season’s Young Player of the Year Ben Wyatt join Lyle Della-Verde in trialling at a higher level, as they bid to secure professional contracts.

Defender Audrius Laucys has returned home to play in his native Lithuania, but may return to the club once his season is completed.
