Concord Rangers face potentially welcome opposition when Whitehawk make the trip to Essex tomorrow.
The south coast side have particularly struggled over the years against the Beach Boys.
Only one of the previous eight meetings in the National League South has ended in a Whitehawk victory, with Concord winning four.
Whitehawk are currently bottom of the standings, following four straight defeats and 15 goals conceded.
But striker Lewis Taaffe, who scored twice against Truro City last weekend, is not underestimating the Hawks.
“We can’t go into the game thinking it will be easy,” he said. “They are in this league for a reason but if we play to the best of our ability I am confident we can win.
“I am pleased to get off the mark early,” he added. “I have played as a striker recently and felt more effective so to get two goals will give me confidence.”
Concord were beaten 2-0 at Dartford on Tuesday, but can take heart from some of their early season showings.
Tomorrow will have been targeted as a golden chance to add to their points tally.
