BILLERICAY Town have broken their club record fee after securing the signature of established National League defender Dean Inman.
Inman, 27, joins from Maidenhead United, and cost Billericay owner Glenn Tamplin £27,600 – beating the previous record set by Jake Robinson who joined the club towards the end of last season.
The centre-back has been a regular at National League Maidenhead, making 12 appearances this season, having made his 100th start for the club just last week.
Inman was part of the team that won the National League South title last season, and will be vying for a starting berth alongside either Rob Swaine, Joe Ellul, Josh Urquhart and Leo Chambers at the centre of defence.
He said on Twitter: “I want to thank everyone at @MUFCYorkRoad for everything. Made some great memories and met some amazing people. Excited for a new challenge now.”
