Like most people, there is more than one match which sticks out for me.

It is difficult to decide between them both but they are both during my time with Cambridge United.

One of them was the first game of the season against Halifax Town in the 2013/14 season and I was making my debut.

The Conference Premier game was being shown on television and the team was in a good place.

Manager Richard Money had built a side with great experience at that level and we all wanted to get off to a great start.

And that is what happened. We won 5-1 and I scored two goals so it was a good game for me, although I missed a penalty as well.

But the one that sticks out in the main was the National League play-off final in May 2014.

I only played 35 minutes but it was a final at Wembley and we ended up winning 2-1 against Gateshead (Billericay’s Liam Hughes on target for Cambridge).

A few months prior to the final I had been ruled out with a hernia and a torn groin and I worked so hard to be back for the play-offs.

Anyone will tell you that to go up through the play-offs is a fantastic feeling, and we managed to do it.

We worked so hard and it was a great moment for the group. I had already made an injury comeback when we were in a bit of a sticky situation but I played too early and I injured myself and was ruled out of the FA Trophy final.

I got back for the first play-off game, which was also against Halifax. I was on the bench for the first leg although I played a part in the second game and it was great to get through.

Winning was the icing on the cake and, having missed the FA Trophy final, it felt brilliant to play a part in this final.

In terms of Billericay, I would choose the game against Burgess Hill Town.

The season hadn’t started quite as I planned. I didn’t start the first game and I was in and out of the team. So to come on at half-time and score three goals was a top feeling.
