Isthmian Premier League

RYAN Blake scored a last minute goal for Enfield Town as Billericay Town dropped two more points in their bid to be crowned Isthmian Premier League champions.

Billericay looked odds on for the victory until Blake popped up to level matters, following Adam Cunnington’s first half header had put the visitors’ ahead.

Jamie O’Hara was sent off in the final seconds to compound Billericay’s misery.

Three points clear at the summit, Billericay were determined to maintain their advantage over Dulwich Hamlet with victory at Enfield.

Jake Robinson and Calum Butcher were narrowly off target with Billericay’s first attempts of the match, while Enfield were posing a threat of their own.

Dan Rumans headed over the crossbar after seven minutes when well placed and, following a lull in play, the visitors took the lead.

Restored to the starting line-up following an enforced injury absence, Cunnington got onto the end of O’Hara’s free-kick to head Billericay in front.

Two efforts from Robinson went narrowly wide of the post as Billericay took a lead in to half-time.

Enfield were in need of a positive start to the second period and they were the width of the goal-line away from getting it – Josh Urquhart getting back to clear well.

Alan Julian then did well to prevent Sam Youngs levelling matters as Billericay came under a prolonged spell of pressure.

Bricknell hit the crossbar and Enfield were to make that good fortune count in the final moments.
