CONCORD Rangers all but assured their place in the National League South next season after seeing off already relegated Bognor Regis Town 2-1 tonight.

The Beach Boys were indebted to a first goal for the club by Immanuel Ighorae, who was handed a rare start by boss Adam Flanagan, and a second goal from Steve Cawley.

Good link up with Femi Akinwande allowed Ighorae to open his account on 20 minutes, beating his man before finishing with aplomb.

And with little over 10 minutes to go Cawley made the game safe, pouncing after Akinwande’s strike was only parried into his path.

Bognor pulled one back with 15 minutes remaining but COncord held on for a crucial three points.

The result leaves Concord eight points above Poole Town, in the final relegation position, with three games remaining.

East Thurrock United were beaten 1-0 by league leaders Dartford as a late goal put paid to their efforts.

Rocks put in an inspired defensive display until Danny Mills broke that resistance with 12 minutes remaining.
