THE three-way battle for the title is no closer to being settled after all three contenders pulled off victories at the weekend.

Canvey's Concord Rangers, aiming for a domestic treble as they have already won the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy and are in the League Cup final, were given a tougher than expected challenge at Aveley against Mauritius Sports.

It was the 55th minute before Michael Begg grabbed the Thames Road side's opener and skipper Dan Trenkel made it 2-0 on 90 minutes.

Barkingside stay top after their 3-0 win at Barking and Enfield 1893 remain a point behind from level games after beating Clapton 4-1 at home.

Concord are third, six points in arrears of Barkingside with a game in hand on the two above them, and visit Ware to take on Enfield tomorrow night.

Concord still have to play Barkingside, a game fixed for April 26, the last day of the league season, and currently have the best goal difference.

Theirs is plus 59, while Enfield, who have a second midweek game when they host Tilbury-based Eton Manor on Thursday, are plus 57.

Barkingside are due at Clapton tomorrow and have a goal difference of plus 53.

In Saturday's other games Southend Manor continued their good late-season form and had skipper Jason Jay becoming their fourth player to make 100 appearances for the club when they saw off Burnham Ramblers 2-0 at home.

Davies (28) and Hudson (85) saw them home and captain Jay received a plaque from chairman Bob Westley to mark his achievement.

Manor visit London APSA's Terence McMillan Stadium to meet Beaumont Athletic on Thursday. Beaumont are due to entertain Eton Manor tonight.

Bowers and Pitsea (home to Hullbridge) and second from bottom Basildon United (who visited Stansted) were both involved in 0-0 draws and are due to meet at Bowers's Len Salmon Stadium on Wednesday.

Other results: Beaumont Ath 0, Romford 5; London APSA 1, Sawbridgeworth 1.
