HAVING seen their play-off push suffer a setback in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Bath City, Thurrock will look to step-up their promotion bid tonight.

Their opponents will be fellow Essex challengers Braintree Town and the clash will be at Fleet’s Ship Lane ground.

In the Ryman Premier, Billericay Town, boosted by Saturday’s great 4-1 win at runaway leaders Dartford — which completed a memorable double - will look to further pull away from the drop zone when Hendon visit New Lodge this evening.

Canvey Island face a tricky home game with a Harrow Borough side always capable of pulling off an upset in their bid to move close to the play-off places at the Brockwell Stadium.

And Aveley will aim for victory at relegation-threatened Waltham Abbey to ease their own fears of being dragged into relegation worries.

Concord Rangers, well clear in second place in Ryman One North, are at Aveley tonight to take on Romford.
