Clarets to train in Basildon

CHELMSFORD City will use the Ford Sports & Social Club in Gardiners Close, Basildon, as a training base for their coming Conference South campaign.

The Clarets have decided to move away from Melbourne Park, where the absence of permanent floodlights have restricted their training in the darker winter months. Chelmsford finished sixth in the league last season.

They start the new campaign at Havant & Waterlooville and face the prospect of two mouth-watering derbies with Billericay Town this year.
