SLAVEN Bilic may have been booed by supporters for bringing off Javier Hernandez on Saturday, but there is no doubting that he got his substitutes spot on.

West Ham United scored a last minute winner to collect all three points against Swansea City.

And two of his substitutes combined to score the all-important goal.

Arthur Masuaku put a superb cross into the penalty area and Diafra Sakho got on the end of it.

Both may now be pushing for a place in Bilic’s starting line-up after the international break.

Masuaku has got two assists in as many games now, and he has looked excellent on the left wing.

He faces stiff competition for a place on the left of West Ham’s attacking three, with the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Andre Ayew pushing for that spot.

But he is very level-headed and is a good player.

I have been really impressed with him in recent appearances.

And Sakho is arguably the busiest of West Ham’s front five. His work rate is excellent and he scores goals.

West Ham’s front six on Saturday were poor. They all struggled to create chances and were not at the races.

Perhaps it is time for Sakho to come into the forward line from the start.

Of course, it was also good to see Manuel Lanzini come on after his injury. He improved the midfield and is such an important player for the Hammers.

I was at the London Stadium as an ambassador alongside ex-players Tony Gale, Martin Allen, Stuart Slater, Keith Robson, Alan Taylor and John Moncur.

It was a good, dogged win. It wasn’t a good performance, but at least they got the three points.

It’s been a good month and I’m hoping the Hammers can build on it.
