IT is good to see Andre Ayew finding form in front of goal.

I have questioned his £20million price tag - which was the fee he joined West Ham United for from Swansea City last year - but he scores goals.

He scored two goals in the Carabao Cup against Tottenham Hotspur and then followed that up with a lovely goal at Crystal Palace.

West Ham drew 2-2 at Selhurst Park on Saturday and, under the circumstances, it was two points dropped.

They went out of the Carabao Cup in midweek to Bristol City but, having beaten Chelsea in their last home game, Palace went into the match with a bit of momentum.

Javier Hernandez and Ayew gave West Ham a two goal lead before Palace pulled a goal back, but it was horrible how the game ended.

Michail Antonio had a shocker. All he needed to do was keep the ball in the corner and if Wilfried Zaha doesn’t score in the 97th minute everyone forgets about it. But he did and it was really poor to concede like that.

Before going to Selhurst Park, West Ham came from behind to beat Tottenham in the Carabao Cup at Wembley.

At 2-0 down, I thought it was curtains for West Ham. But they worked harder in the second half and showed quality.

Tottenham have a bit of a swagger about them so it was great to see the Hammers win and the second half performance showed that the players are behind Slaven Bilic.

The difference between that display and the one against Brighton & Hove Albion was amazing.

I think West Ham should be looking to win the Carabao Cup.

It has lost its value and some teams - particularly the usual top six Premier League sides - don’t take it seriously until the quarter-finals, but it would be great to see West Ham win it.
