WEST Ham United recorded their biggest win of a difficult campaign as they overcame Huddersfield Town.

The Hammers claimed a 4-1 win in Yorkshire, courtesy of goals from Mark Noble, Marko Arnautovic and a Manuel Lanzini double.

Victory sent West Ham shooting up the Premier League standings into 11th place and they now find themselves just a point off the top half of the table.

Many have doubted Noble’s capabilities in recent years and I have to admit that I felt his form has deteriorated since the move to the London Stadium.

But there is no doubting that he is a real leader and he galvanises the team.

Noble, a boyhood Hammers fan, wears his heart on his sleeve and his attitude rubs off on his team-mates.

His goal on Saturday came from a poor Huddersfield error, which was the story for the majority of West Ham’s goals.

But it was pleasing to see the Hammers capitalise on those mistakes, because they have not been doing it enough this season.

The win was also David Moyes’ 200th Premier League victory.

Only Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp reached that milestone before him, and it speaks volumes for Moyes’ success.

The Scotsman has been heavily criticised for his spells in charge of Manchester United and Sunderland, but he has certainly turned West Ham’s spirits around.

The players are in much better shape than they were under Slaven Bilic, and you can see the hard work in training is paying off.

Moyes has also got the best out of Arnautovic, who had endured a rocky start to his spell in east London, and Lanzini appears to be back to the sort of form he was showing in his first season in claret and blue.

Lanzini’s goals at Huddersfield were his first away from home in more than a year and the Hammers need him to score more goals if they are to continue to climb the table.
