Matt Southgate
THORPE Hall professional Matt Southgate has qualified for the Open Championship.
Southgate won the final round of qualifying at Sunningdale yesterday to secure his spot alongside the stars of golf at the Royal Liverpool course from July 13 to 20.
Southgate carded an opening one-over 70 before charging to the top of the leaderboard with a closing 64 for a four-under-par 134 winning aggregate.
