Matt Southgate - ready for the Open Championship
SOUTHEND’S Matt Southgate tees off in his first Open Championship at 11.26am this morning.
Southgate, a member of Thorpe Hall Golf Club, will play alongside the Scot Jamie McLeary and Japan’s Hiroshi Iwata at the Royal Liverpool course.
The 25-year-old came through qualifying to make the start list for the tournament which will be the biggest day of his career so far.
