THORPE HALL: Finals day has taken place at Thorpe Hall, with the annual running competitions coming to an end and eight finals matches being completed.

Captain Alastair Lintern and his son Adam managed a victory against Mandy Grant and her son Chris in the Fisher Family Foursomes.

Richard Tansley overcame Brian Wells in the Alan Lindsay and Jon Neal won the Frank Allen from John Milroy.

Ved Aggarwal & Stephen Reynolds beat Bob Ambler & Andy Horton to the Frank Lockhart Greensomes Foursomes.

Tim and Chris Knight won the Wick Bowl from Ray Hooker and Ian Holdsworth.

Mike McHale defeated Ray Hooker to the Veterans Challenge Cup.

Sallyann Jackson and Paul King won the Mixed Foursomes from Julie & Paul Crocker and Grant Fernley & Spencer Dobkins defeated Tony Walker & David Peters in the Ken Berry Cup.

While the matches were being played, four members of Thorpe Hall were representing the club in the Mullis Trophy, an Essex Golf Union competition, off 3/4 handicap allowance, held this year at Stableford Abbotts GC.

Matt Wall and Mark Hibbitt came joint first, with 45 points, losing on countback to the home team. Marc Bilkus and Gareth Perry were joint second with 40 points but on countback, finished in fourth place.
