ANGIE Dale drove in as Rochford Hundred’s new lady captain after being a member of the club for nearly 40 years.
She joined the Hall Road club in 1977 and has served on various committees during her time at Rochford Hundred.
Angie has promoted the ladies’ weekend golf section which enables working women to take a more active role in ladies’ competitions. This resulted in the presentation of the Ivor Finer Trophy at the end of last year.
She has also worked on the club’s successful High Flyer sessions for younger players aged five and above.
A Rochford Hundred spokesman said: “Angie is the driving force in encouraging new lady members and those new to golf, to join our friendly, enthusiastic section and we wish her a successful and rewarding year.”
Rochford Hundred’s new men’s captain, Darren Morris, will drive in on Sunday to start his year of office.
