Boyce Hill Ladies: Despite indifferent weather, 72 members supported Jackie Soilleux’s Captain’s Day with the course in excellent condition.
Sue Kaye returned a net 67 to win the captain’s prize and the Pat Skeels Trophy on countback from Kay Dines. Third and fourth places were decided on countback with Jill Hair’s net 68 beating Brenda Rogers.
Vice-captain Chris Noden consistency enabled her to win the Silver Scratch Cup with a gross 80. Bronze division Parker Wardman winner was Kay Dines with gross 89.
The team of Sue Kaye, Jenny Darwin, Frances Spicer and Pauline Clark, on countback with 28 pts, won the front nine Stableford.
The back nine was won by Brenda Rogers, Jan Butt, Sue Hilton and Louise Daniels with 32 pts again on countback. The mystery prize for the best score for a lady over a certain age was won by Ursula Capon with net 70.
Maria Barham won the nearest the pin on the 18th with Wendy Misell winning the nearest the ‘J’ on the 13th. Joanne Herd was successful with the longest drive on the seventh.
Chris Bugden won the silver division least number of putts with 25 with Viv Simmonds (30) taking the bronze.
The Past Captain & Hooker Jolley Trophy went to Kay Dines and the Committee Prize went to Maureen Smith (net 74).
