BROTHERS Neil and Ian Walden took Rochford Hundred's February Sunday medal by storm — each winning their respective sections.
Nine handicapper Neil comfortably won division one with 42 Stableford points while Ian, who plays off 12, took division two honours with one point less.
Even two "blobs" could not halt Neil's march as he chalked up 11 pars and a trio of birdies to see off Tony Hadley (39) and Lindsay Cunningham (37).
Hadley, a one handicapper, went round in a gross two under par 69 thanks to 10 pars plus five birdies, while Cunningham parred nine holes and birdied one.
Ian Walden found the going tougher in division two, pipping Gary Jones and Rif Buta, both on 40, by just a point thanks to eight pars and a brace of birdies.
Highlights for Jones were seven pars and a couple of birdies while Buta enjoyed eight pars and a brace of birdies.
Michael Treglohan finished two points clear of his closest rivals to take division three. Two triples and a double bogey couldn't stop him notching 40 points with nine pars the bright spots.
John Butler edged out Nigel Hagger for second place on countback after they both had 38 points.
John Gray carried on his recent return to form by winning Rochford's winter mid-week Stableford with 41 points.
Gray, a six handicapper who also won this month's Saturday medal again, found the course very much to his liking — only dropping one shot and beating Tony Rosen and Bob Semaine who both mustered 39.
