SOUTHEND played their June and midweek medals and, with weather conditions warm, scores reflected the sunshine.

Senior winner was Terry Burgess (75-10=65) with club captain Mick Edmunds coming in joint second with Nick Chadwick.

Junior winner was 75- year-old Cyril Elliott with a very good 83-15=68.

The midweek medal was a bit closer with Edmunds's 72-3=69 beating past captain Brian Hull (87-18-69) on a better back nine.
