RUNWELL Old Boys needed to win at Dunmow to displace Ford Basildon at the top of the Premier Division.

And with goals by Lee and Robinson they duly secured a 2-1 result that sees them leading the league on goal difference.

If Runwell Old Boys slip up in their last match they could be overtaken by Writtle, who went to Britannia and came away with a resounding 9-2 win. Wade hit both of Britannias' goals.

Two goals by Finch gave Sporting Club Henderson a 2-0 win over Division One title rivals Frenford Senior and in doing so secured the League Championship.

Maidonians have been challenging all season and a 7-1 win at Silver End, Ingram netted their goal, looks to have sealed second spot barring some unusual results in the final matches.

Two goals by Swan and a third by Chapman gave Shenfield a 3-0 win over Sungate and third place in the Division Two West league.

With a solid 4-0 result away to Division Three East bottom side Runwell Hospital and a better goal difference, Leigh Town eased themselves away from the bottom two spots.

Vichouse Sports showed their Championship quality by defeating a hard working and much improved FOBS side by 8-0.

Warner was the top scorer with five and Rich hit a hat-trick Division Three West champions Newbury Park added to their points tally with a 3-0 win away to Hannakins Farm.
