SOUTHEND based beach volleyball star Lucy Boulton is today expected to discover she has not been selected for this summer’s Olympics Games.
Britain had been hoping to be able to field two playing pairs at the forthcoming London Games.
But they were beaten by Holland at the quarter finals stage of the Continental Cup in Moscow last week and that now means only one duo will be picked
Boulton and her playing partner Denise Johns finished fourth at last year's London test event at Horse Guards Parade but Shauna Mullin and Zara Dampney now look favourites to get the nod as they have nearly twice as many ranking points on the 2012 Swatch World Tour.
