Dean Macey: “I called Germany right from the start so I’ll stick with them. It’s an utter fluke for me though!”

Steve Tilson: “Germany to win 2-0.”

Cameron Belford: “Going 2-0 Germany. All in sync with each other and look like the complete team. Nothing ever seems to go wrong for them. With Neuer in top form I can’t see them conceding.”

Gianni Frankis: I thought it would be fitting for Lionel Messi to win it with Argentina. But after watching those semi-finals I think Germany will win it.”

Kevin Maher: “I said Argentina from the start so I’ll stick with it. The stage is set for Lionel Messi.”

Justin Edinburgh: “Germany for me. Very efficient in what they do. Time for them to come of age.”

Ryan Cresswell: “I reckon Argentina. The stage is set for Lionel Messi.”

Ricky Duncan: “Argentina as I think they are a well organised team and have the best player in the world who on his day can unlock any defence.”

Steve Jones: “I’ve said Argentina from the start so I’m sticking with them. I’ll go for 2-1 but think it might actually come down to penalties.”

Adam Barrett: “I’m going for Germany. I think they will win it 2-1.”

Graham Coughlan: “I’ve tipped Germany from the off because of their experience, efficiency and togetherness. Per Mertesacker worries me though and Argentina will work on exploiting him. I would also love to see Lionel Messi lift the trophy to cement his legacy. But it’s the well oiled German machine for me. They will gain control of the midfield with extra bodies, five against three, to expose the Argentina’s tiredness from their semi final.”

Daniel Bentley: “I think it will be 3-1 to Germany.”

Paul Sturrock: “I’m a huge fan of Messi so I really hope he can help Argentina win it.”

Oliver Dingley: “The way Germany broke down Brazil in their last game was amazing. All it took was 25 minutes and the game was all but won. Brazil rely a lot on two players (Neymar and Silva) and without them they suffered. That’s where I worry for Argentina. They rely hugely on Messi. However, he didn’t have much of an impact on the semi-final and that proved they don’t always need to rely on him to get a good result. I would love to see Messi come alive in the final and play that magical football we all know he can. If he does then I think we will have a great final on our hands. Personally, I think Germany are the better team as a while and if they play with the same teamwork as they did in their last game I think will become world champions. I predict Germany 3, Argentina 1.
