KIND-HEARTED customers at a Southend bar raised hundred of pounds for the family of muay thai fighter Joe Emmons.
Punters at Varsity sponsored head doorman Darren Rigg to fight at a mixed martial arts event to raise funds for Joe's family following his death last year.
Rigg was defeated at the Ultimate Warrior Challenge fight night at Garon Park but sponsorship and the proceeds of a raffle raised £734.90.
Joe’s cousin Emma Maddy received the cheque from staff at the Warrior Square bar.
As well as regularly competing in the ring, Joe also ran Southend Muay Thai club with Lee Mayo.
