SOUTHEND High School’s Ross Luckman has been included in England’s under-15 basketball team.
The youngster will line up in the Copenhagen International tournament against other European teams later this month.
And headmaster Robin Bevan was full of praise for the achievement.
“Ross has considerable talent and the outstanding support of the PE staff at Southend High School for Boys has allowed him to excel,” said Bevan.
“His efforts, his ability and their guidance have given Ross, the school and Southend another international sportsman to be proud of.”
And the school’s head of PE Stephen Thomas was also pleased by the news.
“We are obviously delighted that his skills and hard work have been recognised and we are very proud of his achievements,” added Thomas.
