STUART Bingham takes on Sam Baird today as he bids to book his place in the second round of the China Open.
The Vange potter got the better of home favourite Cao Yupeng yesterday to book a date with Baird, who is currently world number 63.
Bingham was hugely impressive in the qualifying round, after beating Yupeng 5-0 in Beijing.
The world champion was ruthless and hit a break of 128 on his way to the first round, and he will take on either Peter Ebdon or Ian Burns in round two should he see off the threat of Baird.
Bingham begins at 11.30am this morning, with the competition shown live on Eurosport 1.
