IT was more disappointment for Mason Law as his start of season struggles went on at Brands Hatch.

Benfleet talent Law was competing in the third round of the Dickies British Supersport Championship, but crashed out in race one before securing a 13th place finish in the second race.

Law has been on a run of bad luck since the start on the season, with injuries and crashes hindering his progress but he looked good in qualifying on his Gearlink Kawasaki.

After a strong start in the first race, Law high-sided coming out of Graham Hill on the opening lap and crashed out of the race.

He dropped back to 15th place for race two and only made up one place on lap one before eventually finishing in 13th position.

And Law said he was hopeful his fortunes would turn a corner soon.

"I just keep thinking that things have to change for the better sometime soon,” said Law. “We have been working hard this weekend to move everything in the right direction but it has been a struggle.

“I made a mistake in the first race and crashed out, I was a bit sore for race two and tried to dig deep to secure a good result. I managed a couple of Championship points but know I am able to do better.

“We have a few weeks off now so hopefully I can fully recuperate, get back to full fitness and come back in fighting form at Knockhill.”
