IF YOU are not lucky enough to be heading off to France for the European Championships then the perfect substitute awaits Three Lions fans in Southend.

On Saturday – for one day only – Garon Park will be transformed into a vibrant and unique Euro 2016 Family FanZone, which promises fun and excitement for all ages.

The England against Russia and Wales versus Slovakia Euro 2016 openers will be broadcast live on a giant 12x12-metre outdoor HD screen.

Radio Essex will be providing music and give-aways while there will also be a quick-serve beer tent and BBQ to keep everyone suitably fuelled in the sunshine.

For the youngsters there will be numerous bouncy castles, football coaching and competitions provided by Southendian Manor YFC.

There will also be face-painting and various activities to keep them entertained for the whole day.

Tickets are priced at £10 adults and £5 under-16s, while those aged under five are free.
