MASON Law had something to smile about following a testing weekend for his Gearlink Kawasaki team at Snetterton.

The Benfleet rider gained a 10th place in the first British Supersport Championship race on the Norfolk circuit’s 300 configuration and followed it up with a strong fourth in the second race.

The results were a bonus after Law was caught out with shocking weather in qualifying and started the first race 21st on the grid.

“I’m really happy that we managed to have a trouble free weekend here at Snetterton and we made some really positive progress in race two especially,” said Law,

“I’m feeling better on the bike and can ride it how I want to now.

“Thank you to the Gearlink Kawasaki team for their extra support this weekend and I think the podium is just around the corner again.”

After starting from 21st on the grid, Law rode incredibly well to work his way through the pack to finish at 10th at the end of the nine-lap race.

He got a great start from 12th on the grid for the second race and was dicing with several riders in the opening laps and dropped to 10th at one point.

But he showed his early season form again as he picked off his rivals until a strong manoeuvre on Luke Jones handed him fourth place.

Gearlink Kawasaki team manager Michael de Bidaph said: “Mason rode an exceptional and very mature race today in the main race and it was good to see him get his confidence back and show the form that he showed at Silverstone before his nasty crash.

“We have made a lot of progress with him here and I hope this is a new start to his season.”
