DANNY Buchan scored points in all three races for the Tsingtao MSS Performance Team in The British Superbike series at Oulton Park, but will not race for the team again this season.

The Basildon-born biker was riding a Kawasaki ZX-10R, a bike which lacks the performance of the later machines and would need extensive, expensive modifications to enable the team to move forward.

It is doubtful that this expenditure would be justified so late in the season as the Donington Park round is scheduled for next weekend, with just rounds at Assen and Brands Hatch to follow.

Taking this into account the team have decided to withdraw the Kawasaki from the competition, with Buchan currently in discussions with several teams regarding his future in BSB.

Although he qualified in 18th position Buchan finished the three races in 13th for races one and two and 14th in race three.

However, he is not happy with the results, with the bike not powerful enough to get out of the mid-pack positions.

Buchan can take pride in the fact that he finished ahead of three-time BSB series Champion and double Suzuka 8 hour race winner Ryuichi Kiyonari and Stuart Easton, ex BSB Supersport Champion and Macau GP multiple winner.
