MASON Law feels confident he is preparing well for the upcoming British Superbike Championships season.

The Benfleet racer will ride the number 55 Kawasaki ZX-10RR for Sheffield-based GR Motosport this year.

Following a successful Superstock 1000 series season, the 22-year-old was forced to the sidelines for the latest round of testing.

Adverse conditions meant low temperatures combined with intermittent drizzle made the track slippery. And with little chance of gathering any meaningful data the teams opted to sit out the early track action.

Mason said “It’s a shame the conditions are not suitable to get ourselves out on the bikes but coming off a very productive test series in Spain earlier in the year it is not really worth risking the conditions for no apparent gain.

“I’m not daunted by the challenge even though the series is packed with top class riders,” said the former 250cc Junior Cup and Stock 600 champion. “But I’m not going to be disrespectful and make any rash predictions. It’s an interesting project for both myself and everyone at GR Motosport and the WD40 Kawasaki British Superbike Team. In truth, we are all buzzing with excitement at the prospect of getting started.”

“I can’t wait for the first race at Donington Park over the Easter Weekend.”
