STUART Bingham says he cannot wait to step into the Crucible Theatre once again as the World Snooker Championship gets underway this weekend.

The 2015 World Champion will face Jack Lisowski in his first round match on Tuesday.

And, following a technical error which saw Thursday’s draw delayed by two hours, Bingham says he is excited to return to Sheffield.

“These delays seem to happen quite a lot but we got there in the end and it’s a good draw,” said Bingham, who is from Bowers Gifford.

“Jack has come on a lot this season and shown his true potential. I haven’t seen much of him but his results are good and he plays the game quickly. The average shot length time has him in the mid teens so he gets on with it.

“I’m a bit slower but I hope my experience counts and I know I can beat anyone on my day.

“I don’t play until Tuesday so I will head up on Monday having got my practice in over the weekend.

“I feel pretty good but until you get out there you don’t know how it is going to turn out.

“But I am looking forward to it.”
