MMA star Walter Gahadza is chomping at the bit to get back in the cage - despite having fought just two months ago.

Gahadza will face Kent Kauppinen at Wembley Arena in Bellator’s 200th event a week on Friday.

And Gahadza insists he is ready to impress after the shortest turnaround he’s ever faced between his bouts.

“Preparation has gone well and I’m feeling good,” said the Southend based Gahadza.

“It might be the shortest turnaround I’ve had but I’m seeing that as a good thing.

“I’ve just carried on from where I left off before and I definitely feel shaper for that.”

Gahadza has honed his skills for the fight in a training camp in Colorado.

And he feels the trip has been hugely beneficial.

“There are world class facilities here so of course it’s been great for me,” said Gahadza.

“I’m at the Genesis Training Centre which has been a huge help and when I get back I’ll be at TSG where Dan Burzotta is always great for me.

“They’re helping me to evolve as a fighter and I’m looking forward to getting back out there.”

Gahadza is also fired up to impress after suffering defeat in his last outing.

The former Belfairs High School was beaten by Colin Fletcher.

But the defeat came after Gahadza had initially been on top.

“That’s just the way the game is,” said Gahadza.

“The reason people love MMA so much is because of how exciting it is and how quickly things can change.

“You can be on top for the whole fight and then lose concentration for the last 10 seconds and you’ll lose.

“That’s just the way it is but you learn from all of the fights you have.

“I’ve been rusty in the past after lay-offs and I’ve had things going on in my private life too

“But I’m feeling good again now.”

And Gahadza will be wanting to prove that when he takes on Kauppinen in front of a packed crowd.

“He’s won 10 and lost three but I’m confident and I’m ready to go again,” said Gahadza.

“There are still a few days to go but I’ll be ready.

“I’ll be back home later this week to fine tune everything and I want to repay everyone for the help they’ve given me.

“I’m hungry for the win.”
