BENFLEET-based rider Dan Snow showed exceptional form by beating a class field of youth riders at the Hillingdon Road Circuit in Middlesex.
In the first kilometre, a rider attacked and established an early lead.
The peleton chased hard to catch the lone rider and by the third lap the bunch was back together.
It was at this point that the Snow launched his attack.
By lap five, his lone lead had turned to a break of four riders with a 15 second gap.
The four riders worked together, each taking a hard turn at the front to lead the pace.
As the race progressed, the lead increased to more than one minute.
Many riders from the bunch attempted to jump across the gap but all were unsuccessful because the leading four riders were out of site of the main bunch.
On the final lap, Snow positioned himself perfectly from 250 metres.
He then launched his dash to the finish before crossing the line leading by one full wheel length.
With Snow preparing for a six day international stage race in Holland later this month, he also entered the senior adult event some 15 minutes after.
With a disadvantage of having a restricted youth gear, it meant that Snow had to pedal much faster to create the same speed.
After another hour of racing and on the final lap, Snow attacked for the second time in one night.
With a kilometre left, he caught the leading rider who had been off the front for several laps.
Snow attained a lead of seven seconds but was caught with 150 metres to go and finished with the main head of the field.
