REBECCA Gallantree hopes winning the three metre springboard competition at the National Cup can lead to her taking part in her second Olympic Games this summer.
The 27-year-old, from the City of Leeds Diving Club, was selected in the squad four years ago in Beijing.
And, after securing success in Southend, she now hopes to go on to be called up for London.
“Making the Olympics is definitely my target this year,” said Gallantree, who was born in Chelmsford.
“I’m really pleased with my performance here as it’s a personal best, so hopefully that will be enough for the selectors to pick me for the World Cup.
“Performances there will decide who goes to the Olympics and I obviously hope that I go.”
Gallantree won with 318.90 points ahead of her club mate Hannah S
