ROCHFORD Hundred resume their London Two North East promotion push with a tough looking trip to fellow high-flyers Diss tomorrow.

Rochford are currently fourth in the table, just three points behind league leaders Chelmsford.

But Hundred’s first team manager Graham Pratt is expecting a difficult afternoon against a Diss side who sit just above them in the standings.

“We beat Diss at home earlier on in the season but it’s always difficult to get a good result at their place, especially as they seem to have gone up a gear in the last few games,” said Pratt.

“However, if we play as well as we have on occasions against the better sides this season then there is no reason why they could not come away with something and keep the pressure on the top teams. “ Rochford have selected a strong side for the game and have back row Andrew Bevan available before he heads back to university next week.

Also in London Two North East, 10th placed Basildon, who have lost seven of their last eight games, are at home to local rivals South Woodham Ferrers.

Woodham are currently ninth in the table but are 12 points clear of their hosts this weekend.

In London Three North East, second from bottom Billericay travel to the side just above them in the table, Old Brentwoods, looking for just their second win of the season.

Eighth placed Canvey Island are at Bancroft, who sit ninth, in Essex One while second from bottom Pegasus Palmerians host fourth placed Ilford.
