I’M still waiting for official confirmation that I’m suspended for tomorrow’s clash with Launceston but it does appear that’s going to be the case.

It’s down to the number of yellow cards I’ve picked up this season and I’m disappointed with myself for allowing that to happen.

It’s a real faux pas on my behalf because it means I’m going to what is a very important game for us against Launceston tomorrow.

We need to get the win and we need to be more clinical than we were at Worthing last weekend.

To lose there 33-11 was hard to take because we probably had at least 70 per cent of 80 per cent possession.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make the most of that and we didn’t take the chances were created.

Worthing, in contrast, scored both times they got in to our half in the second period and that made the final score-line slightly flattering for them.

They scored with the last play of the game but I think they’re a fantastic team and it’s a huge positive that we had so much of the ball against them.

It was also excellent to see Sonny Gay back in action after being out for quite some time with a shoulder problem.

He’s looked really sharp in training and he will obviously get better, fitter and stronger the more he plays.

GREAT START FOR ENGLAND IN SIX NATIONS

IT WAS really good to see England got off to a great start in the Six Nations with a hard fought win against Wales.

Even though they were losing at half-time, I thought it was a really good performance.

The injury situation allowed one or two players an opportunity they wouldn’t have been expecting and they certainly made the most of it.

I think sometimes players who have made 30 or 40 appearances for their country can became complacent about it all.

But those coming in would be really fired up, especially with the World Cup just around the corner.

It’s Italy this weekend for England and, while I’m expecting another win, Italy ran Ireland close and will be tough opponents.

However, this is a chance for England to throw the ball around a bit more and I would definitely like to see that happen.
