SEEVIC’S impressive fly half Harrison Friswell felt a deceivingly strong wind enabled them to blow Stockport Grammar School away in the semi-final of their under 18 vase clash.

Seevic bagged six second half tries to triumph 45-23 at Allianz Park.

And Friswell, who scored 20 of his side’s points, felt that was partly down to the conditions.

“Out on the pitch it was quite windy and we had that wind behind us in the second half which certainly helped our cause,” said the Southend based 18-year-old.

“There was a strange wind tunnel across the pitch which made it hard to play but it also meant I knew we could come back in the second half.

“I was always confident we could win and when the final whistle went it was just an unreal feeling for all of us.

“I still don’t think it’s really sunk in that we’re going to being playing at Twickenham because not people get to do that in their rugby careers.”

Friswell, who also plays for Southend Saxons, was particularly influential in the second half turnaround.

The youngster pulled the strings as Seevic were able to come out on top.

And he was delighted by the second half display.

“We were able to secure more ball in the second half and got really good tries,” said Friswell.

“It took us a little while to settle down but we played like we have been doing for most of the season in the second half and scored some really good tries.

“Now we want to do the same in the final and it’s going to be a great day for every single one of us.”
