SAM Reynolds wants to boost Westcliff’s survival hopes by continuing his incredible try scoring form at Westcombe Park tomorrow.

The powerful number eight has scored 12 tries in his last seven games to take his season’s tally to 20.

And he is now desperate to help Westcliff get back to winning ways this weekend after four successive defeats.

“At this point in the season, every game is important for us,” said Reynolds.

“We are one point above the drop zone with four games left so it’s now in our hands and there is no point looking back at the disappointing past few weeks.

“It is now our job to ensure we get points from the remaining games but if we do get relegated, it will be because we deserve it.”

However, Westcliff can be confident of picking up the points on Saturday as they have already beaten Westcombe Park this season.

Westcliff triumphed 18-13 against them at the Gables in November and will also be boosted by the return of some key players for the second meeting between the two sides.

“We already know that Westcombe Park are very beatable,” said Reynolds.

“We beat them at home in November and it was a game in which we played the conditions better than they did.

“We now want a second win against them and not playing last weekend has also worked in our favour because we will also have a few injured players coming back in.

“Most notable is Kostas Dellas who is likely to return after the concussion he suffered against Civil Service.”

Dellas will be hoping to make a successful comeback to the team and Reynolds will be certainly seeking more tries.

“This is definitely the most tries I have ever got in a season,” said Reynolds.

“That tally is benefitting greatly from our forwards’ performance and it would be great to get another one tomorrow but only if it means we win the game.”
