JACKSON Wray cannot wait to help Saracens tackle their exciting end to the season.

Sarries triumphed 42-14 against Harlequins in front a world record crowd of 84,068 at Wembley on Saturday.

But the big games do not stop there for the London giants.

And Wray, a former King John School pupil, is keen to sample more success, starting with this weekend’s European Cup quarter final clash against Racing Metro in Paris.

“We got a really big run-in to the season with some difficult and important games, none more so than the one this weekend in the European Cup,” said Wray.

“After that we’ve got games against Leicester, Northampton and Exeter who are all up there around us as the top of the table so there are some huge matches coming our way.

“Hopefully there will be a semi-final in there too but it’s certainly an exciting time and these are the type of games you want to be a part of.”

Wray was selected in the starting line-up for Saracens’ convincing win against Harlequins which saw them move up to second in the Premiership standings.

And Wray, who played for Westcliff Rugby Club in his youth, admitted it was a huge buzz running out at the world famous stadium.

“I’ve been lucky enough to play at Wembley four times now and on every occasion it’s been fantastic,” said the 24-year-old flanker.

“There’s a huge buzz when you come out on to the pitch and the whole set up there is just brilliant.

“I also think it’s great for the game of rugby in this country that we were able to get 84,000 fans there watching having also had 83,000 there last season.

“But once the game gets underway you’re just focusing on the game to be honest and you don’t really notice the size of the crowd, even when it’s as big as that.”
