THURROCK’S unbeaten start to the season could come under threat against Amersham & Chiltern in London One North tomorrow.

T’s have kicked off the new campaign with three successive victories.

But Amersham, who were relegated from National Three London & SE last term, have triumphed twice already so far.

And Thurrock’s director of rugby Dean White is expecting another difficult encounter.

“This will be a very testing game for us,” said White.

“Amersham have dropped down from National Three and have had a very good start to this season.

“We believe that they have held most of their squad together so they will be filled with quality players.

“But we will again be focusing on our performance and trying to win at home where you can’t afford to be losing games in this league.”

Thurrock also head into the clash sitting top of the table.

But White is keen to open up more of a gap on their rivals.

“If we lose on Saturday then Amersham will jump ahead of us but if we win we are starting to pull away from the middle of the table which is what we want,” said White.

“This is definitely an important week for us.”
