THURROCK made it four wins out of four with a hard fought 20-17 triumph against Amersham & Chiltern.

T’s had to dig deep to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new London One North season.

And director of rugby Dean White was delighted by the spirit of his side.

“Amersham put us under a lot of pressure in the first half but I was extremely impressed by our character and commitment to the shirt,” said White.

“We really had to dig deep to pull this one back but we again came away with the bonus point win and scored some fantastic tries.

“In the second half we really turned it on and it was one way traffic.

“Our fitness levels showed and we just kept building as the game went on.”

Jake Barrand bagged two tries in Thurrock’s latest victory while Freddie Russo and Tom Pool also touched down.

Despite the win, T’s slipped to second in the standings on points difference after Brentwood won 56-19 at Barking.

But White felt the manner of the victory again showed how strong his side are this season.

“This game showed what a different outfit we are this year,” said White.

“The team has grown together and we are sticking to our systems and with each other. “
