FORMER Southend star Mike Stanley signed off in style from his World Cup campaign with Samoa by meeting the Queen.
More than 400 hundred players, coaches, referees and volunteers were invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace.
And Stanley, who scored nine points in two appearances during the competition, was among those in attendance.
“It was unbelievable,” said Stanley.
“It was a huge honour to be there and a great way to finish the World Cup.”
