WESTCLIFF will be looking to turn promising performances into points when they host Chichester in National Three London & SE tomorrow.

Second from bottom Westcliff suffered an eight successive defeat last weekend, losing 17-13 at table-topping London Irish Wild Geese.

But Westcliff’s director of rugby Nick Sigwart now wants to build on the promising display against 10th placed Chichester.

“We put in a very good performance last week against an extremely strong team and were unlucky to lose which has given us a lot of confidence for this weekend,” said Sigwart.

“Our job now is to make that confidence count but Chichester are a bit of an unknown to us.

“However, we will be focusing on ourselves and the little things we need to improve on to get the first win under our belts.”

Westcliff will be without captain Buster Reynolds this weekend along with Jeff Meredith who misses out with concussion.
